Andrew Bryniarski


Andrew Bryniarski was born in February 13th, 1969. He is an American actor and a former well-known bodybuilder.

Bryniarski was born in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated on North Penn High School in Lansdale in Pennsylvania. One day, he visited a friend in Hollywood, California, and soon he was discovered by a talent scout. In couple of months, he found himself acting alongside Bruce Willis in the film Hudson Hawk.

From there, he has appeared in numerous films. His best known works are the ones in football film playing characters (Steve Lattimer - the Program, and Mad Dog Kelly from any Given Sunday). In 2004, he earned a nomination as "Best Villain" in MTV Movie Awards for the role of the "Leatherface" character in the 2003 remake of the 1973 film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The same role earned him the Peoples Magazine's Teen Choice Award in "Best Thriller" category. Playing the killer who would forever be known as "Leatherface", Andrew stars in this amazing story about five young peoples fighting for their lives. Actually, he is the only actor to portray Leatherface in more than one film, because of the reprised role in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. With over a dozen motion pictures and many TV shows under his belt, Bryniarski is well on his way to becoming a household in Hollywood.

Andrew Bryniarski is also a talented musician. He has a band named Shadow Syndicate, and he also is a member of Black Label Society's Los Angeles chapter.

He enjoys horse riding, mountain climbing and he also practices yoga.

Here is his story: Andrew Bryniarski, born in Philadelphia, is a 6´ 5" handsome young man that came to Hollywood for a summer vacation, suddenly screen tested for Joel Silver and was then acting alongside Bruce Willis in "Hudson Hawk". This is true, it really happen that way! Being on a short holiday to visit a friend, Bryniarski was spotted by a talent scout, who set up a meeting. Before he really realized it, he was traveling around Europe filming his first movie (with the likes of Willis and the late James Coburn). Since then, Andrew has worked as a film partner of such Hollywood actors and actresses as Al Pacino, James Woods, Halle Berry, Michelle Pfeiffer and Cuba Gooding Jr. to mention just a few, as well as Hong Kong's best: Tsui Hark and Yuen Wo Ping. He has more than dozen motion pictures under his belt, among others: Pearl Harbor, Tim Burton´s Batman Returns, Rollerball, Scooby Doo, Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday, Streetfighter, John Singleton's Higher Learning and The Program.

Recently, he appeared on TV in FX´S 44 Minutes: Shootout in North Hollywood (2003) (TV). This show has received enormous ratings and broke several records. It also has guest starred in many TV shows. Entertainment Weekly Magazine has included Andrew in this year's "IT" list of the top 100 creative peoples in Hollywood. Andrew lives a healthy lifestyle, involved in all outdoor activities from horseback riding to mountain climbing. As a former bodybuilder, he is also works out at the gym and practices yoga. With his wife Gretchen, they live in their Los Angeles home together with 3 Pomeranian's box turtles, 2 cats, a parrot, and five giant African land tortoises that he recently rescued.
